This release enhances configuration options and strengthens review security for the Vibgrate command-line scanner. Users can now utilize a unified configuration file and benefit from improved review processes.
New
- Vibgrate now supports reading settings from a new YAML configuration file (.vibgrate/config.yml), in addition to the existing JSON file.
- The new YAML config can include a driftBudget and your review policy, streamlining configuration management.
- The first 'vg review' command now writes its starter policy directly into the new config file, simplifying the setup process.
Changed
- If a base branch lacks a review policy, the CLI will now apply default settings instead of relying on potentially misleading rules from the pull request.
Security
- The 'vg review --base' command now enforces team review files from the base branch, preventing pull requests from bypassing their own findings.
